Chap. 101.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 9 of the acts to
e-tablish Corporation Courts fur the cities Manchester and Winches-
ter, approved April 16, 1874.
Approved February 12, 1884.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the ninth section of the act to establish corporation courts
for the cities of Manchester and Winchester, approved six-
teenth April, cighteen hundred and seventy-four, he amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows
§ 9. The judge of the corporation court of the city of Man-
chester, shall receive the annual salary of’ not less than eight
hundred dollars, nor more than twelve hundred dollars, to be
fixed by a vote of the common council of said city; and the
judge of the corporation court of Winchester, the annual
salary of five hundred dollars during their respective terms,
to be paid as provided by law; and said judyes shall qualify
by taking the oath required by law, at any time betore enter-

within thirty days after he receives his commission, said oath
to be taken betore any justice of the peace, or any clerk of a
court of record.
