Chap. 49.—An ACT to empower the trustees of Liberty Hill school-
house and church to sell and convey certain property.
Approved April 14, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the trustees of Liberty Hill schoolhouse and church, in Gray-
son county, or either of them, be and they are hereby author-
ized to sell publicly or privately, for cash or upon credit, as
they may deem expedient, the church and school property
aforesaid, conveyed to them on the twenty-fifth day of De-
cember, in the year of eighteen hundred and sixty-two, by
W. M. Grubb; and upon the sale thereof to make all needful
conveyances, and to take such securities for the purchase
money as to them may seem meet; and the said trustee or
trustees are hereby authorized and required to re-invest the
proceeds of the said sale in the purchase of a new site and
the erection of a church and school building thereon, for the
use of said Liberty Hill school and the worshipping congre-
gation of said church; but the purchaser shall not be bound
to see to the application of the purchase money.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
