Chap. 37.—An ACT to provide for repairing the guvernor’s mansion
and appropriating money therefor.
Approved January 26, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the superintendent of public buildings be directed to proceed
at once to repair and refurnish the governor’s mansion, under
the supervision of the committee of the house of delegates on
public property, and that he is hereby authorized to draw
upon tle state treasury for the expenses thereof. The sum
of ten thousand dollars, or so much thercof as may be neces-
sary, is hereby appropriated for that purpose out of any
money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Chap. 37.—An ACT to empower the Episcopal church, in the town
of Liberty, to hold additional land.
Approved April 7, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the Episcopal church, of the town of Liberty, be and it
is hereby authorized and empowered to hold, in addition to
the read estate now held by it, four acres of land in the cor-
poration of Liberty, Virginia, for the purpose of building a
colored church and for educational purposes.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
