Chap. 239.—An ACT to increase the compensation of the Sheriff of
Norfolk county.
Approved March 6, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the Norfolk county court to fix the
annual allowance to be paid out of the county treasury to
the sheriff of said county, for services rendered thercin, at a
sum not exceeding one thousand dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
