Chap. 146.—An ACT to prescribe the times for holding the terms of
the eighth judicial circuit.
Approved February 21, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the circuit
courts of the eighth judicial circuit shall hold terms here-
after at the times and places hereafter specified—to wit:
county of Mathews, sixth of April and sixth of October;
county of Middlesex, twenty-fifth of March and twenty-fifth
of September; county of Elizabeth City, twentieth of April
and twentieth of October; county of Warwick, twenty-sev-
enth of April and twenth-seventh of October; county of
York, first of May and first of November; Williamsburg and
county of James City, sixth of May and sixth of November ;
county of Surry, thirteenth of May and thirteenth of
November; county of Charles City, twentieth of May and
twentieth of November; county of New Kent, twenty-fifth
of May and twenty-fifth of November.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage, and all acts
and parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby
repealed.
Cuap 147.—An ACT to legalize the sale and conveyance of Oak Grove
church, in the district of Atlantic, in the county of Accomac.
Approved February 21, 1882.
Whereas Joseph M. Fedderman, A. Frank Byrd, Joseph EB.
Broadwater, John A. Rowly, Albert S. Matthews, James W.
Broughton, and Sewell A. Byrd, trustees, did without author-
ity of law, by deed dated the fifteenth day of July, in the
year eighteen hundred and seventy-five, convey to Solomon
arshall and John P. Johnson a certain piece of land, con-
taining by estimation about one quarter of an acre, bounded
on the north by the land of , on the east by the county
road, on the south by the land of William H. Miles, and on
the west by the lands of , known as the Oak Grove
church Jot, and on which is standing the building called by
the name of Oak Grove church; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the convey-
ance made as aforesaid, be and the same is hereby declared
legal and valid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
