Chap. 6.—An ACT authorizing the appointment of an additional com-
missioner in chancery for the circuit court of the county of Rucking-
ham.
Approved December 29, 1877.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the second section of chapter one hundred and seventy-one
of the Code of cighteen bundred and seventy-three, as
amended by an act approved March twenty-ninth, eighteen
hundred and seventy five, and as further amended by an act
approved January third, eigbteen hundred and seventy-six,
be amentled and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 2. Each court shall, from time to time, appoint gommis-
sioners in chancery or for stating accounts, who shall be
removable at pleasure. There shall not be more than four
such commissioners in office at the same time for the same
court, except that the chancery court of the city of Rich-
mond may have seven such commissioners in office at the
same time; and that corporation courts with chancery juris-
diction, and that the circuit courts of the counties of Au-
gusta, Pittsylvania, Loudoun, and Rockingham, may have
ve such commissioners in Office at the same time.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
