Chap. 36.—JOINT RESOLUTION to authorize the attorney-general
to employ assistant counsel in certain cases.

Resolved by the House of Delegates (the Senate concur-
ring), That the governor, upon the application of the attor-
ney-general of the state, if in the opinion of the attorney-
general the public interest shall so require, shall appoint such
additional counsel to be associated with him as said attorney-
general may designate, to aid him in the argument of any
and all questions which may come before the court of appeals
in regard to the receivability of coupons in the payment of
taxes or other public dues, and to contract in regard to the
compensation to be paid to such counsel: provided said fee
shall not exceed one thousand dollars, and shall cover all
cases that may be pending in said court, within two years.
