Chap. 295.—An ACT to authoriee the Lynchburg Virginia Guards, of
Lynchburg, to uniform themselves in such manner as they may
prescribe.

Whereas an infantry company of voluntecr militia has
been organized in the city of Lynchburg, composed of the
requisite number of men, and called the Lynchburg Virginia
Guards; and whereas the members of said company desire
to adopt a military uniform different from that heretofore
prescribed by the governor for volunteer militia:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That as soon as
said company shall be mustered into service accor ding to law,
it shall be lawful for its members or a majority thereof, to
uniform themselves in such manner, and agreeably to such
regulations as they shall prescribe: provided that said uni-
form shall be subject to the approval of the governor.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
