Chap. 26.—JOINT RESOLUTION to authorize appointment of com-
missioners to prepare a plan for reorganization of the government
offices.
Approved January 15, 1878.
Resolved (the House of Delegates concurring), That the
governor is hereby authorized and directed to appoint three
competent perscns to prepare and mature a plan for the
thorough reorganization of the administrative departments
of the government in the offices of the auditor of public ac-
counts, treasurer, second auditor, register of the land office,
secretary of the commonwealtb, superintendent of public
printing, superintendent of public buildings, superintendent
of the penitentiary, board of public works and commission-
ers of the sinking furd, so that the government may be more
economically and carefully administered.
The said commissioners shall receive for their services a
sum not exceeding one hundred and fifty dollars each, to be
paid out of the civil contingent fund, on the warrant of the
governor, and shall report the conclusions at which they may
arrive, by bill or otherwise, to the general assembly, on or
before the fifteenth day of February, eighteen bundred and
seventy-eight.
