Chap. 150.—An ACT for the relief of A. J. Farish, of Albemarle
county.
Approved March 6, 1878.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to allow A.J. Farish, treasurer of Albemarle couuty, a credit
in the settlement of his account as treasurer, for the sum of
four thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine dollars and
seventy four cents, as of the date of March third, eighteen
hundred aad seventy-seven, that being the amount he had on
deposit as treasurer in the Farmers and Merchants bank of
Charlottesville when it suspended: provided that the auditor
shall not allow the said credit until the said Fuarish shall
execute and deliver to him an assignment to the common-
wealth, properly executed, of any dividend that may here-
et be declared to him on account of said deposit, by said
ank.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
