Chap. 139.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 15 of an act ap-
proved March 18th, 1872, relative to the forfeiture of the rights and
franchises of the trustees of Willis river and the incorporation of
Willis navigation company.

Approved March 4, 1878.

1. Be it enacted by the yveneral assembly, That section
fifteen of an act approved March cighteenth, eighteen bua-
dred and seventy-two, entitled an act declaring the rights
and franchises of the trustees of Willis river forfeited, and
providing for restoring navigation of Willis river, by the
incorporation of Willis navigation company, be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:

§ 15. If the said company shall not commence work on the
Willis river within two years from the passage of this act, or
shall not reopen the navigation as herein provided, from the
mouth of Willis river to Ca Ira within ten years from such
period of commencement, they shall then and thereupon
forfeit all rights and special privileges horeby conferred upon
them.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
