Chap. 131.—An ACT relating to fences and for protection of crops in
Madison district, county of Orange.
Approved March 4, 1878.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the cxisting laws on the subject of enclosures be and the
same are hereby repealed, so far as they may apply to that
portion of the county of Orange which is embraced within
the following metes and bounds, to wit: Commencing at Two
run, on the Old Mountain road; thence along said road to
Mrs. Conway’s lane; thence along said lane to Macon’s gate;
thence along the line between Macon and G.G. and S. T.
Browning to Arthur Stephens’ corner; thence along the line
between G. G. and S. T. Browning and Arthur Stephens to
the Old plank-road; thence down Two run to the Old Moun-
tain road; thence along said road in a westerly direction to
John Kinzer’s corner with Lee; thence along the line be-
tween G.G. and 8. T. Browning and Kinzer to Old plank-
road; thence along said plank-road to a bridge over one of
the branches of Poplar run, where the said branch crosses
the road from the Montpelier estate; thence down said run
to the Old Mountain road; thence in an eastern direction
along said road to the beginning.
2. This act sball be in force from its passage.
