Chap. 126.—An ACT for the relief J. C. Conway, of Washington
county.
Approved March 1, 1878.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to issue his warrant upon the treasurer, payable
out of any money not otherwise appropriated, in favor J. C.
Conway, of the county of Washington, for the sum of fifty
dollars, being the amount of the reward offered by the gov-
erpor for the arrest of George Wolfe, in the year eighteen
hundred and seventy-seven, an escaped prisoner charged with
arson, and who has since been convicted of said charge and
is now incarcerated in the penitentiary therefor, which said
George Wolfe was arrested by said J. C. Conway, and by
him delivered to the jailor of said county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
