Chap. 69.—An ACT to authorize and empower the Old Dominion
steamship company to hold land in the state of Virginia.

Approved February 6, 1877.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the Old
Dominion steamship company, a corporation chartered by
another state, be, and it is hereby, authorized and empowered
to purchase and hold a fee simple title to land in the state of
Virginia, along the line of its navigable water courses: pro-
vided, that the quantity of land so held, shall not exceed ten
acres in any county or corporation of this state.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
