Chap. 65.—An ACT to authorize the Virginia telegraph company to
sell and convey all the franchises of said company.
Approved February 6, 1877.
Whereas the stockholders of the Virginia telegraph com-
pany, in meeting assembled, resolved that the property of
said company should be sold to pay its indebtedness; and
whereas it is desirable that the purchaser or purchasers at
such sale shall acquire the franchises of said corporation;
therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly, That the Virginia
telegraph company be, and is hereby, authorized and empow-
ered to sell and convey all of the franchises of said company
to the purchaser or purchasers of the property of the said
company.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
