Chap. 276.—An ACT to incerporate the Bridgewater healing <prinz:
company.
Approved April 2, 1877.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That J. W. F.
Allemong, James F. Lowman, Moses Strickler, James Craw-
ford, Doctor J.S. Minor, Joseph Byrd, and Hiram Miller, and
such other persons as may associate with them, be and they
are hereby declared to be a body politic and corporate, by the
name and style of The Bridgewater Healing Springs Com-
pany, and as such shall have perpetual succession and a com-
mon seal, may sue and be sued, contract and be contracted
witb, and make by-laws and regulations not inconsistent with
the laws of this state or of the United States, and be subject
to all general laws now existing, or which may be hereafter
enacted, so far as applicable to the same.
2. It shall be lawful for the said company to have and hold.
by purchase or otherwise, real estate sufficient for its pur.
poses, not exceeding fifty acres, and erect such buildings. and
construct such machinery, and make such improvements upon
any real estate, or right in real estate, as may be acquired by
it, for the purpose of improving and utilizing the mineral
spring near said town of Bridgewater, in the county of Rock-
ingban, in this state.
3. The capital stock of said company sball not be less than
five hundred dollars nor more than ten thousand dollars, to
be divided into shares of ten dollars each; and in all meet-
ypgs of the stockholders each share of stock shall entitle the
holder to one vote; and its principal office shall be kept, and
its chief business transacted, at or near said town of Bridge-
water.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
