Chap. 26.—An ACT to authorize the trustees of Westville Baptist
church, in Mathews county, to borrow money.

Approved January 13, 1877.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That William
H. Browne, James B. Thurston, and Alexander W. Merchant,
trustees of Westville Baptist church, in Mathews county, be,
and they are hereby, authorized to execute one or more deeds
of trust upon the property of said church, held by said trus-
tees, for the purpose of raising a sum of money, not to exceed
three thousand do!lars, to be used in defraying the expenses
of finishing eaid chureb; and the said trustees are hereby
authorized, in raising such sum of money, to pay a rate of
interest not exceeding eight per centum per annum.

2. This act shall be in torce from its passage.
