CHAP. 208.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the 37th section of the
4th chapter of the Code, edition 1873, so as to provide for the publi-
cation of statements of expenditures authorized by judges of the cir-
cuit and corporation courts.
Approved March 21, 1877.
1. Bo it enacted by the general assembly, That section
thirty-seven of the fifty-fourth chapter of the Code, edition
cightcen hundred and seventy-three, be amended and _ re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 37. All moneys collected or received for any town shail
be applied as the council or board of trustees thereof may
prescribe ; and it shall be the duty of the council or board of
trustees, and of the clerk of the circuit and corporation courts.
to cause to be made out quarterly, an itemized statement of
all accounts authorized to be paid by the said council or
board of trustees, and by the judge of the circuit and corpo-
ration courts, and cause the same respectively to be @stet
at the court-house door, or other public place in said town,
and also to be published i in such newspaper as the said coun-
cil or board may direct.
. This act shall be in force from its passage.
