Mills and Machinery burned during the War.

pai r Te 1. Be it enacted by the general asserp , That tho owner
Wilding mils OY tenant of any mills, mill dam, toll bridge, manufacturin
destroyed dur- machine, or engine which may have been destroyed by fire :
werare*- or otherwise, or have become unfit for use during the late:
civil war, shall have three years from the passage of this act
in which to begin, and six years in which to finish the re-
building or repair of the same, without being subjected to the
forfeitures provided by law.
Commencement 2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
