Chap. 25.—An ACT to Extend the Time within which The Farmville,
Charlottesville and Stanardsville Narrow-Guage Railroad may be Com-
menced and Completed. !

Whereas The Farmville, Charlottesville and Stanardsville
Narrow-Guage Railroad Company have not been able to com-
mence the construction of said road in consequence of the
financial pressure and other adverse circumstances; and
whereas the time fixed by the sixth section of the act enti-
tled an act to change the title and amend the act to incorpo-
rate The Farmville, Charlottesville and Stanardsville Narrow-
Guage Railroad, in force March twenty-eighth, eighteen
hundred and seventy-one, in force February thirteenth, eigh-
teen hundred and seventy-two, for the commencement of the
said railroad, will shortly expire; therefore, ,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
The Farmville, Charlottesville and Stanardsville Narrow-
Guage Railroad may be commenced within three years and
completed from Charlottesville to Farmville or Burkeville,
whichever of the latter points the stockholders may select,
within five years from the passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage. ;
