Chap. 140.—An ACT to Authorize the Bessemer Company to Purchase
and Dispose of Lands in the State of Virginia.

Approved April 3, 1874.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That 8
the Bessemer Company, incorporated by the legislature of &
New Jersey, be authorized and empowered to purchase, sell »
and dispose of, in such lots, pieces, or parcels, as the presi- —
dent and board of directors of said company may deem ad-
visable, real estate, in the state of Virginia: provided, said a
company shall not, at any one time, hold more than thirty 4
thousand acres of land. This act may, at any time, be re-a
pealed or modified at the pleasure of the general assembly. ?
