CHAPTER 791

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
6.1-125, relating to penalties for violation of orders of State Corpo-
ration Commission.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
6.1-125 as follows:

§ 6.1-125. The Commission may impose, enter judgment for, and
enforce by its process, a fine not in excess of one thousand dollars against
any bank or against any of its directors, officers or employees for violating
any lawful order of the Commission; and may remove from office any
director or officer who a second time violates any such order; but in all
cases the defendant shall have an opportunity to be heard and to intro-
duce evidence, and the right to appeal as provided by law.
