CHAPTER 769

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
14.1-58.1, so as to increase the maximum compensation allowed
treasurers and commissioners of the revenue in counties and cities.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
14.1-58.1, as follows:

§ 14.1-58.1. The maximum limits of the salaries of the treasurers
and the commissioners of the revenue provided in §§ 14.1-55, 14.1-56,
14.1-57 and 14.1-58 are hereby increased by five per centum of the maximum
amounts set out in such sections which increase shall also be based, in the
cities and counties applicable, upon the increase permitted by § 14.1-62.1
which increased the salaries of certain officers in certain cities and counties.
