CHAPTER 706

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
8-47.1, relating to service of process in suits for annulment, affirmance

or divorce.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
8-47.1, as follows:

§ 8-47.1. The provisions of § 8-47 of the Code of Virginia shall not
be construed to apply to any suit brought or maintained under the pro-
visions of Chapter 6 (§§ 20-89, et seq.) of Title 20 of the Code of Virginia.

Every such suit heretofore brought or maintained which is otherwise valid,

except for the provisions of § 8-47, is hereby validated, ratified and con-
rmed.
