CHAPTER 678

An Act to amend Chapter 161 of the Acts of Assembly of 1926,
amended, by adding sections numbered 13 and 14 relating to the
powers of boards of supervisors or other local governing bodies with
respect to any and all sanitary districts of whatsoever kind; to
ratify, validate and confirm all sanitary districts of whatsoever
kind heretofore enlarged, reduced, merged or consolidated, or pur-
ported to be enlarged, reduced, merged or consolidated pursuant to
Chapter 161 of the Acts of Assembly as amended and ratifying, vali-
dating, and confirming all bonds issued by any and all such districts
of whatsoever kimd.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That Chapter 161 of the Acts of Assembly of 1926, as amended,
is hereby amended by adding 8§ 13 and 14, as follows:

§ 13. Notwithstanding any other provision of this act, the board
of supervisors or other governing body of any county and the requisite
voters may, with respect to any and all sanitary districts of whatsoever
kind, whether heretofore or hereafter created pursuant to this act, or
pursuant to any general or special act, exercise any and all of the powers
conferred on them by this act with respect to any and all sanitary districts
of whatsoever kind.

§ 14. All sanitary districts of whatsoever kind heretofore cre-
ated or purported to be created pursuant to this act, or heretofore en-
larged, reduced, merged or consolidated, or purported to be enlarged, re-
duced, merged or consolidated pursuant to this act, are hereby validated,
ratified and confirmed, and all bonds heretofore issued by any of such
districts of whatsoever kind are hereby validated, ratified and confirmed
ae shall be the valid and legally binding obligations of the respective
