An Act to amend and reenact § 54-424, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, relating to issuance of licenses to certain persons to practice
pharmacy in this State without an examination. FS 805)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 54-424, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:
§ 54-424. Licenses without examination; to whom issued.—The State
Board of Pharmacy may issue licenses to practice as pharmacists in this
State, without examination, to such persons as have been legally registered
or licensed as pharmacists in other states, the District of Columbia and
territories of the United States, provided that the applicant for such li-
cense shall present satisfactory evidence of qualifications equal to those
required from licentiates in this State, and that he was registered or
licensed by examination by the Board of Pharmacy in such other state,
District or territory, and that the standard of competence required in such
other state, District or territory, is not lower than that required in this
