CHAPTER 51

An Act to amend and reenact § 12-45 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to bonds of officers of the State Corporation Commission.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 12-45 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
follows:

§ 12-45. Bonds of Officers—The Commission * may obtain one or
more blanket bonds covering members of its staff conditioned for the
faithful and lawful performance of their official duties. The surety shall
be a surety company authorized to transact business in Virginia. A mem-
ber of the staff of the Commission who is covered by a blanket bond to
the extent of twenty thousand dollars shall not be required to furnish
a separate bond.
