An Act to authorize the Superintendent of State Police, with the approval
of the Governor, to convey certain real estate and to provide for the
disposition of the proceeds therefrom.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Superintendent of State Police is hereby authorized, with
the approval of the Governor in writing first obtained, to convey by deed
in form approved by the Attorney General to a suitable purchaser the
following described real estate in the county of James City, Virginia:
That certain parcel of land located on the west side of State Secondary
Route 657 just south of its intersection with State Primary Route 60, in
James City County, as shown on a plat made by LaPrade Bros., Civil
Engineers, Richmond, Va., dated April 4, 1956. and entitled: “COMMON-
WEALTH OF VIRGINIA STATE POLICE DIVISION Map of 1.18 acres
of land situated in James City County, Virginia”, a copy of which plat
is recorded in the office of the clerk of the court for the county of James
City and city of Williamsburg; said parcel of land being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a new corner located in the west line of the 30-foot right
of way of Route 657; thence with new lines: (1) N. 68°30’W., 225.0 feet
to a new corner; (2) N.21°30’E., 225.0 feet to a new corner, and (3)
S.68°30’E., 225.0 feet to a new corner located in said west line; thence with
said west line and 15 feet from the center of Route 657: (1) S.18°03’W.,
62.25 feet to a point, and (2) to the right with the arc of a 980.14-foot
radius curve, 163.08 feet to the beginning; and containing 1.18 acres,
more or less.
§ 2. The proceeds of such sale or conveyance shall be deposited in
the State Treasury to the credit of the Department of State Police and are
hereby appropriated for the requirements of such Department.
An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
