CHAPTER 25

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
18.1-849.1, so as to permit counties, cities and towns to adopt ordi-
nances regulating minors in public poolrooms or billiard rooms; pro-
viding penalties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
18.1-349.1, as follows:

§ 18.1-349.1. The governing body of any county, city or town may,
by ordinance, regulate the frequenting, playing in or loitering in public
poolrooms or billiard rooms by minors in lieu of the provisions of
§ 18.1-349, and may prescribe the punishment for violations of such
ordinances; provided, that the punishment provided for shall not exceed
that set out in § 18.1-349.
