CHAPTER 243

An Act to amend and reenact § 46.1-188 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to local ordinances incorporating provisions of Title 46.1 by reference.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 46.1-188 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 46.1-188. Setting forth provisions of title in ordinances.—Ordi-
nances enacted on and after * July one, nineteen hundred * sizty-eight,
by local authorities pursuant to * this article may incorporate appropriate
provisions of this title into such ordinance by reference. Nothing contained
in this title shall be construed to require the reenactment of ordinances
heretofore validly adopted.
