CHAPTER 231

An Act to authorize and direct the Commissioner of Fisheries to main-
tain certain fish hatcheries, and to appropriate funds.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The Commissioner of Fisheries is authorized and directed to
maintain, for the same general purposes and upon the same general scale
as now operated, the fish hatchery operated by the Commission of Fish-
eries near Lester Manor on the Pamunkey River at the Pamunkey Indian
Reservation and the hatchery on the Mattaponi Reservation in King Wil-
liam County.

2. There is hereby appropriated to the Commission of Fisheries out of
the general fund of the State treasury the sum of one thousand dollars
for each year of the biennium to carry out the purposes of this act.
