An Act to amend and reenact § 54-24, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, relating to compensation of members and secretary of the
State Board for the Examination and Certification of Architects,
Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. ret }

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 54-24, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:
§ 54-24. Compensation of Board and secretary; expenses.—The
members of the Board shall each receive as compensation * twenty-five
dollars per diem for the time spent in attendance at meetings or in con-
ducting examinations, and shall be reimbursed the amount of actual
expenses incurred in the performance of their duties under this chapter.
The secretary of the Board shall receive such salary as may be named by
the Board, subject to the provisions of Chapter 9 of Title 2 [Chap. 10
(§ 2.1-110 et seq.) of Title 2.1]. The compensation for services and ex-
penses herein provided, however, shall not exceed the amount received as
fees from applicants for certificates to practice any of the professions
included by this chapter.
